The crew behind True Tree Service

True Tree Service started with a passion for climbing. Before the business, before the trucks, there was just the plain fact that some people are happiest a hundred feet up a conifer with a rope and a saw. Turning that into a company that treats people right was the easy part.

We are a native-owned, family-run business led by owner Jacob Hodge, serving Humboldt and Del Norte counties. Our crew climbs, rigs, and cuts to the standards of ISA certified arborists, licensed under CSLB #1132934 and fully insured.

From the start we wanted to redefine what a tree service feels like to hire. That means quiet electric saws for morning work so your neighborhood stays peaceful. It means offering wood chips to gardeners and firewood rounds to neighbors instead of hauling everything to the dump. It means telling you when a tree does not need to come down, even when removal would pay us more.
